Scope

What we do

  • Tesla Wall Connector and universal J1772 chargers

  • Detached garage and outdoor pedestal installs
  • Two-charger power sharing

Process

How it works

  1. Tell us your car, charger and where you park. Photos of your panel help.
  2. We check your panel capacity and the run from panel to charger.
  3. You get a written price. If an upgrade is needed, we explain the options.
  4. We pull the permit, install the circuit and charger, and test it.
  5. Inspection, then you're charging.

Pricing

What affects the price

Every job gets a written price before work starts, and estimates are always complimentary. These are the things that move the number.

  • Distance from the panel to the charger
  • Hardwired charger vs. NEMA 14-50 outlet
  • Whether the panel has room or needs load management or an upgrade
  • Garage interior vs. outdoor or detached location
  • Charger amperage (32A, 40A, 48A)

Questions

EV Charger Installation FAQs

Do I need a panel upgrade for an EV charger?

Often not. Many homes can add a 40- or 48-amp charger after a load calculation, and a load-management device can make room in tight panels. We only recommend an upgrade when the numbers say you need one.

Should I get a hardwired charger or a 14-50 outlet?

Hardwired chargers are more efficient at higher amperage and avoid outlet wear. A NEMA 14-50 outlet is flexible if you might change chargers. We'll recommend what fits your car and panel.

Can you install a charger outside?

Yes. We use weather-rated equipment and the right conduit for driveway, carport and pedestal installs.

Do I need a permit for an EV charger?

Yes. A new 240V circuit requires a permit and inspection. We handle it.
